Today we finished shooting How to Kill a Man. It was a very cold morning and we started early. Today we really moved through our shot list. We even finished early. Everyone did a great job!

Special thanks to the Philtower Lofts and 119 Downtown! They provided the indoor locations. Thanks Kathy, we could not have done it without you!

We had a lot to shoot in a short period of time and we filmed the big fight scene. I am so excited about how it turned out. We shot with the Canon and 2 GoPros. The GoPros were strapped to the actors so that we could get their POV during the fight. I wanted to add one more GoPro shot but we were so tight on time, we weren't able to get it. We were however able to get all the shots on our shot list and everyone was safe!

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.dolphinbayfilms.com/home/2010/11/2/lighting-how-to-kill-a-man.html"><rss:title>Lighting How to Kill a Man</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.dolphinbayfilms.com/home/2010/11/2/lighting-how-to-kill-a-man.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

Here are some pictures from Triangle Park in Sand Springs. We were hoping for an overcast day. No such luck.

Throughout the shoot, we have used a lot of natural and practical light for our shots. The first day we were prepared with light kits, grip kits, and a dimmer board. We hardly used any of it. We have been using a lot of reflectors and bounce cards. It is truly amazing what you can do with a reflector. I am very surprised that we have been able to get such good light this way. We still lug our lights and grip kits around anyway, just to be safe.

We were pretty pleased with the layout of this area which was shaped like a triangle so that the trolleys that used to traverse the area could better navigate the turns. The quiet park will be good for filming and free of interference. If you have suggestions for filming locations feel free to post them in comments or on our facebook page. We are also scouting for a well-to-do condo or high-rise setting.

How to Kill a Man is quickly progressing as we are locking down locations, actors, and more. As we secure people for this project we'll be bringing you bios. For example, Director Kevin Kisling is a film studies major with a creative writing minor at the University of Tulsa who is set to graduate in December. He has completed two comedy short films, Go Green and Percy Vs. The Destroyer, which he wrote, directed, and edited. Kevin is also in post production on his third short film, an experimental film which he wrote, directed, and co-edited. His third film was also the first student film to be shot on 16mm film at the University of Tulsa. Working on the film How To Kill A Man is Kevin's first time teaming up with Melanie Brooke Sweeney.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.dolphinbayfilms.com/home/2010/10/8/callbacks.html"><rss:title>Callbacks!!!</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.dolphinbayfilms.com/home/2010/10/8/callbacks.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>
Hello my name is Melanie Sweeney and I am the producer of How To Kill A Man.
