Welcome to DOLPHIN BAY FILMS, an independent film and television production company located in the heart of the United States. We were formed to develop, finance, and produce feature films.

The production of a successful feature film is a complicated blending of creative arts and solid business principles. It starts with a great story to grip the audience; great acting talent is brought aboard to bring the characters to life; and finally quality production is applied from pre-production through to post-production to make it a seamless entertainment experience from beginning to end.

At DOLPHIN BAY FILMS, it is our goal to select the best screenplays of any genre in order to make profitable movies that go beyond touching the spirit of man; movies that make us contemplate our life’s journey here on earth; movies that touch on our brightest moments or darkest secrets; and movies that ultimately inspire us to believe that hope and redemption exist for each of us.

We are not currently accepting submissions at this time. Please check back over the course of the year as things may change.

It's a wrap!

Today we finished shooting How to Kill a Man. It was a very cold morning and we started early. Today we really moved through our shot list. We even finished early. Everyone did a great job!

Special thanks to the Philtower Lofts and 119 Downtown! They provided the indoor locations. Thanks Kathy, we could not have done it without you!

Third Day of Filming for How to Kill a Man

Yesterday was our third day of filming. We had a lot to shoot in a short period of time and we filmed the big fight scene. I am so excited about how it turned out. We shot with the Canon and 2 GoPros. The GoPros were strapped to the actors so that we could get their POV during the fight. I wanted to add one more GoPro shot but we were so tight on time, we weren't able to get it. We were however able to get all the shots on our shot list and everyone was safe!

Lighting How to Kill a Man

Here are some pictures from Triangle Park in Sand Springs. We were hoping for an overcast day. No such luck.

Throughout the shoot, we have used a lot of natural and practical light for our shots. The first day we were prepared with light kits, grip kits, and a dimmer board. We hardly used any of it. We have been using a lot of reflectors and bounce cards. It is truly amazing what you can do with a reflector. I am very surprised that we have been able to get such good light this way. We still lug our lights and grip kits around anyway, just to be safe.
